WHO IS PROFESSIONAL SPORTS AUTHENTICATOR (PSA)?
Founded in 1991, Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) is the largest and considered to be the most trusted third-party grading and authentication company in the world.
WHAT DO PSA DO?
PSA authenticate both sports and non-sports trading cards across all eras. From the worlds of sport, gaming, music, entertainment, politics and history.
Every card or collectible graded by PSA uses the PSA 10-point grading scale, which has been accepted and supported industry-wide since 1991.Â
To reinforce its guarantee of grade and authenticity and protect your investment, collectibles graded by PSA are encapsulated in tamper-evident, sonically sealed, high-security capsules.  This is what is referred to in the industry as ‘slabbing’.
THE PSA FINANCIAL GUARANTEE OF GRADE & AUTHENTICITY
Importantly some items graded by PSA is covered by the PSA Financial Guarantee of Grade & Authenticity.
As long the card remains in its tamper-evident holder (or ‘slab’) PSA offer a cash-back policy that ensures the accuracy of any PSA-graded card.
Â
THE PSA GRADING PROCESS IN 4 STEPS
- A series of PSA graders review your cards for authenticity.
- If genuine, PSA looks for evidence of doctoring, such as re-colouring or trimming.
- If your cards pass these two steps, PSA grades the condition of each card on a scale of 1-10, with 10 Â being best.
- After grading, PSA holders each card in its own tamper-evident case. A label within the case displays the card’s pertinent information and unique certification number.
